Welcome to Schnitzel & Things
Our goal is to serve delicious, fresh food to hungry New Yorkers on the go. Our food is prepared fresh daily, using quality ingredients at reasonable prices. We are the only fast casual restaurant/mobile food truck serving authentic schnitzel.
What is schnitzel?
Schnitzel is a hand pounded, lightly breaded thin cutlet of meat fried to golden perfection. It is traditionally served with Austrian potato salad, cucumber salad and a lemon wedge. Our additional menu items put a new creative twist on tradition, inspired by a variety of global culinary influences.
And bratwurst?
Our bratwurst is a delicious pork sausage prepared by one of the best local butcher shops in New York City. Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, our bratwurst is best served with our homemade sauerkraut and Dijon mustard.
Our truck
Launched in 2009, Schnitzel & Things was the first mobile food truck serving schnitzel with a new and creative twist. Schnitzel is not very common in America, but the concept, brand and food caught on like wildfire. After winning Rookie of the Year in 2009 at the Vendy Awards (the Oscars of street food) demand has become constant. We are very proud that our brand is recognized on both a national and international level receiving accolades from some of the top news and magazine publications worldwide.
Our store
In early 2011, we opened the doors to the public from our first brick and mortar location. A new fast casual dining experience, we take pride in serving freshly made, gourmet food to customers on the go. We now have the capability of creating new and exciting dishes to share with our customers. With each colorful ingredient laid out in front of you, you can choose the perfect combination for your meal. Eat in or take out, join us for lunch or dinner and see what everyone is talking about.
